At CRB, our Staff Accountants have the opportunity to not only focus on "traditional" core accounting needs (AR/AP/Journal entry/etc) but will also partner with our Operational units as it relates to project accounting regarding billing, analysis, and creation of comprehensive financials reporting. We're looking for an outstanding attention to detail, emphasis on accuracy, and a willingness to learn! You'll get the opportunity to train with an experienced accounting function while gathering exposure to our business. Additionally, we're implementing a new ERP in 2023- so if testing/data integrity and implementation sound like your cup of tea, we should talk! This role requires a hybrid work schedule, with 2-3 days/week planned in office near the Village at Briarcliff.

Responsibilities

  • Review invoices and approvals for completeness and process vendor invoices for payment, experience with subcontractor AIA is a plus
  • Prepare, assemble, and submit client invoices or pay applications with required back-up
  • Responsible for the review of the weekly project payables check run
  • Follow-up on accounts receivable and prepare additional billing support as requested by project managers or clients
  • Interface with project teams, clients, and vendors when necessary, in various aspects of project accounting and invoicing
  • Review expense reports for compliance with company policies and process for reimbursement
  • Assist in reconciling accounts and completion of month-end financials
  • Assist teams with the financial closeout of projects and discrepancy reconciliation
  • Other ad-hoc duties, as required

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of accounting or business experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business, preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office software suite, required
  • Experience with Deltek Vision accounting software is a plus
  • Experience preparing and reviewing client AIA pay applications (various levels of difficulty), preferred
  • Possess a solid understanding of general accounting standards and principles
