Staff Accountant

Our Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting the Assistant Controller and team in financial strategy, financial planning and analysis, financial reports, company audits, compliance, and bank relationships along with various AP/AR liason. They will collaborate with the operational and leadership teams to assist with information regarding the company's financial strategy and operations. This is a roll your sleeves up – onsite opportunity to become part of a large growing N America organization.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in finance/accounting with emphasis on general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, Building Materials experience a plus. Our offices are currently located in the Carrollton area near I-35 and Beltline.

Responsibilities

• Participate and partner in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements along with external audit information/compliance.

• Support financial planning and analysis efforts along with corporate level Q & A/Variance Analysis

• Work and liaise with team on development of overall accounting and business process/procedures

• Support business in Business License/Tax filings with various city, state, local and Federal jurisdictions

• Prepare and/or correct various balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Assist and support annual budget/FP&A

• Support treasury functions including cash forecast/requirements, cash management/reconciliation, working capital compliance with financial institution along with bank audits

• Support finance/back office with ad hoc projects as defined.

• Proven analytical mind, not afraid to attack problems or dive into details

• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, adapt and operate in a fast-paced environment

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting

• Strong finance and accounting analytical skills

• 3-5 years' of finance experience

• Proficient in MS Office Suite of products, specifically advanced Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
