Position Description:

Sr. Business technology analysts work with the business and IT to assist in technology integration. This includes assisting with the oversight of the company's current information technology (IT) assigned systems portfolio to ensure technology-related goals are met. Technology Initiative Analysts are expected to work with and improve upon current systems while taking budgetary concerns into consideration. They must have the knowledge to suggest more cost-effective software and web-based applications when appropriate, provide guidance and leadership to less experienced team members, and adhere to company procedures and policies at all times.

• Responsible for the creation and implementation of business processes, workflow, technology solutions and technology frameworks within a business organization.
• Identifies and defines business needs, providing detailed gap analysis, identifying opportunities for business workflow improvement.
• Performs analysis and investigative work to determine and document business requirements and specifies effective business processes through improvements in information systems, information management, practice, procedures.
• Determines requirements using interviews, business process descriptions, user stories, use cases, source to target diagrams, operational models, and workflow analysis.
• Follow business-specific standards relevant to various business industries when creating business/functional/system requirements.
• Configure business rules and business/functional/system requirements for improvements or new additions to the current computer system.
• Provide technical oversight to software and application enhancement.
• Responsible for adhering to system maintenance policies such as Version Control, Form Management, Baseline Management, Change Management, and Release Management.
• Responsible for maintenance and improvements/enhancements to the existing technology within a business organization.
• Interfaces with vendors regarding new product evaluation contract review and troubleshooting issues.
• Identifies and document defects and defines and validates corrective actions.
• Serves as liaison and resource between business analyst team and client success managers, developers, and other project team members throughout each phase of the process to help clarify and/or resolve issues related to requirement, design, testing and acceptance specifications as subject matter expert.
• Provides direction and guidance to less experienced team members.
• Researches and identifies new applications or technologies to meet company needs.
• Design systems, test plans and training programs.
• Develops, reviews, and approves technical documentation.
• Prepares detailed functional specifications and coordinates RFP processes.
• Coordinates installations with user departments and lead implementations and rollouts.
• Leads post implementation review.
• Performs resource and contingency planning with respect to technology applications.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a related field is required, we will consider a minimum of 4 years of experience in a job-related field, exhibiting knowledge of business analytical skills, organizational skills, problem resolution, and documentation.
• Minimum 8 years of operational experience, or equivalent in designated area(s) of expertise, preferably functioning within the department or group to which they will act as the liaison.
• Minimum 8 years of experience gathering system requirements from users and business owners, translating them into detailed requirements documentation, ensuring that business rules are clearly defined through workflow diagrams, business needs are documented and validating that limitations or risks are understood.
• Interacts directly with business for management of technical specifications and new initiatives.
• Maintains strong departmental experience preferably including cross functional experience and a willingness to learn operational process.
• Maintains excellent relationship management and project management skills.
• Maintains good business acumen and a pro-active approach to problem solving.
• Proven experience exhibiting business analytical skills and a deep understanding of industry practices.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor junior Analysts in requirements gathering, documentation and testing processes.
• Ability to provide insight and creativity into solving business process challenges.
• High level of organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Computer proficiency including the Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and online project management.
• TIL V3 Awareness Training preferred.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or multijurisdictional regulatory licensing required for IT Staff.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience in understanding data needs of finance systems, including but not limited to procure to pay, fixed assets, financial planning and analysis.
