Sr. Systems Administrator
North American Bancard- REMOTE
What you'll be doing:
  • Management of a multi-server, multi-domain installation.
  • Mac systems management utilizing JAMF to ensure systems meet our security policies.
  • Provide escalation support per request from various sources; investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining our server infrastructure environment.
  • Enforce corporate backup strategy.
  • Manage incident communication and escalation.
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted parties.
  • Assist in enforcement of corporate retention policies.
  • Works with the security team to ensure compliance and proactively help ensure the security of our data, networks and systems.
  • Work with Identity management and provisioning of users and apps through Active Directory, Okta and G-suite.
  • Apply OS and application patches and upgrades on a regular basis.
  • Regularly update and maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures and documentation.
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards.
  • Mentor Help Desk individuals along with receiving mentoring from senior staff
  • Participate in on-call escalation rotations for 24x7x365 support; evening, overnight, and weekend, holiday and on-call work may be required.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management.
What we need from you:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a system administrator’s role working with Windows Servers (2012-2019) in a medium-size enterprise environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Systems management software.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ working with DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Domain Services.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience administering either Google Workspace or Microsoft O365 set of products, especially Mail systems.
  • 2 years of Linux experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience administering Mac systems with a mobile device management enterprise solution.
  • Experience in problem resolution with IT systems and individuals.
You’re a Rockstar if:
  • 2 years of Data Center experience.
  • Experience with JAMF MDM solutions.
  • Experience with backup solutions: Cohesity preferred.
  • Google Workspace & Proofpoint experience.
  • Experience using and managing Atlassian tools.
  • Scripting experience, PowerShell and Bash preferred.
  • Experience working with containers.
  • GCP: Experience working with VPCs, Shared VPCs, and Kubernetes through Terraform.
  • ChromeOS experience in an enterprise environment.
