Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company is a vertically integrated musculoskeletal outcomes management company. HOPCo manages physician practices, hospital service lines, population health and value-based care programs, and musculoskeletal delivery networks.

HOPCo is the managing partner of Arizona-based entities, The CORE Institute, Northern Arizona Orthopaedics, The CORE Institute Specialty Hospital, Michigan-based The CORE Institute, and Florida-based Southeast Orthopedic Specialists and The Center for Bone & Joint Surgery.

As HOPCo continues to grow, we are looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to be based out of our Corporate Headquarters. This position reports directly to the Director of Revenue Accounting and will analyze revenue transactions to evaluate data integrity and proper treatment of transactions within the revenue management system. The ideal individual will possess inherent leadership qualities, excellent oral and written communication skills and must be detail oriented.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Perform month-end close tasks, prepare journal entries perform flux analyses and prepare related reporting and disclosure workbooks
  • Perform monthly deal review on revenue arrangements and partnerships to ensure accurate revenue recognition treatment observing ASC 606
  • Create and/or maintain complex models to recognize revenue and substantiate the adequacy of Accounts Receivable and Accrued Revenue Balances
  • Applies data visualization for discovery and timely insights (data exploration, ad-hoc queries, and analysis)
  • Interprets results of analyses, identifies trends and issues (forecasting), and develops alternatives to achieve key objectives
  • Applies data aggregation, descriptive analysis and data presentation techniques and tools to communicate complex findings and recommendations to influence others to take action
  • Proactively identify areas for process enhancements and partner with other departments on improvements to help achieve scalability and to support new business initiatives
  • Prepare and maintain process documentation and coordinate with relevant parties any required updates to processes

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of five years of accounting and/or finance experience.
  • Experience in health care is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS

  • An accounting background with 3-5 years of experience, minimum of 2 years with revenue
  • Experience with financial closes, including review, reconciliation and preparation of P&L, BS and CF statement accounts
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP reporting standards
  • Strong computer skills: Excel and BI Tools (Tableau/Power BI)
  • Desire for continuous learning and growth

KNOWLEDGE

  • Accounting US GAAP Standards
  • Finance and accounting functions including budgeting, reporting, business processes, and internal controls
  • Lead staff and projects in change management and integrate systems, processes, and teams.

SKILLS

  • Ability to assimilate information easily and present complex issues
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with management, medical staff, auditors, and the public.
  • Facilitating goal attainment through the efforts of multi-disciplinary teams.
