Job Summary:

Urban Engineers is seeking qualified individuals in our Rail & Transit Freight Rail department to fulfill the role of Senior Railroad Construction Manager. This position will be responsible for the construction management services on freight and transit railroad projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction management on freight and transit railroad projects.
• Manage the project team and program performance to obtain quality products.
• Maintain complex budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate the work with contractors.
• Mentor and assist in the development of junior staff in both construction management best practices and nuances of railroad construction.

Job Requirements:

• A bachelor s degree in civil or construction Engineering is preferred.
• A CCM (Certified Construction Manager) is required.
• A PMP or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, experience may substitute for a PE.
• 15 years of experience in construction or engineering; including progressively responsible experience in managing complex organizations.
• Experience as a Construction Manager with Class I Railroads and/or Amtrak is preferred.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
