• Oversee, develop, coordinate and implement quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost.
• Respond to line calls with immediate corrective action
• Leverage experience to develop long-range corrective measures through root-cause analysis
• Provide accurate and timely data to management regarding quality concerns
• Design and implement control plan/inspection routings, with little guidance
• Procure gauges and measuring equipment for quality control initiatives

• Write and distribute quality data and reports
• Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility, and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Integrity Code.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or industrial engineering and 5 years of experience in quality, industrial or manufacturing engineering; or 9 years of experience in quality, industrial or manufacturing engineering
• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the production of internal combustion engines
• Knowledge of quality control, raw materials, manufacturing processes, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of engines
• Knowledge of Calibration process, GD&T and Metrology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of statistical process control
• Strong knowledge of geometric tolerating and related gauges
• Self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork
• Ability to work flexible hours or shifts
• Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite, Windchill, SAP, V

Preferred:

Daily work is performed in a general manufacturing and office environment.

This position has a compressed work schedule that requires four (4) ten (10) hour days during a Monday through Thursday work week, and the position is eligible for overtime as business requires with causal overtime expected.
While performing tasks for this position, the employee is regularly requested to perform work on a computer inside and outside of the work environment. Also, the employee will be occasionally requested to come in contact with wet environmental conditions. Finally, the employee will frequently hear noise while performing task in the work environment.

While performing physical demands of the position, regularly the employee will be requested to stand, sit, walk, climb and stoop. However, the employee will be frequently be requested to balance, kneel, crouch, reach, and squat. Finally, an employee will be frequently requested to grasp and manipulate items in a maneuverable manner to perform daily tasks.

Employees will be occasionally required to push, pull, carry, lift and or move materials within the work environment. The materials will weigh between 10-50 pounds and the employee will be occasionally requested to move materials during the course of a week.
