Position Summary

The Senior Program Specialist works in the Business Integration department to advance key system strategic initiatives as well as supports the management of the Shared Strategic Services (SSS) project portfolio, project management process, and toolkit. This role works independently with various leadership, partners, and project team members to drive enterprise initiatives related to growth and operational optimization activities. This role also works with SSS Leadership to manage the SSS portfolio from intake to approval to assignment to review as well as the development and maintenance of the centralized project management process and toolkit. Additionally, the Senior Program Specialist is responsible for managing data, analysis, and reporting requests related to strategic initiatives.

Essential Job Outcomes

  • Work with executive sponsors, leaders, and cross-functional team members to define the scope and objectives of key strategic initiatives
  • Utilizes independent thinking and decision-making as part of project scoping and planning
  • Assist in planning, tracking and achieving strategic initiative milestones, including status reporting and coordination across multiple concurrent activities
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to manipulate datasets to problem solve
  • Assist in the implementation and management of related document repositories, program and project management applications, and other software applications
  • Ensure team members are provided access and training in a timely manner on assigned applications
  • Assist in the creation and management of workstream program management tools
  • Assist in document management in document repositories, project management applications, and other software applications, including consistent naming conventions, user permissions, and overall document organization
  • Ensure completeness in the collection of information, materials, processes, and specifications to support evaluation, diligence, and integration efforts
  • “Other duties as assigned”

Pay Range: $92/hr

Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Qualifications


Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience with coordinating and leading the implementation key strategic initiatives in healthcare or Mergers and Acquisitions environment, preferred. Must have demonstrated mastery of Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word as well as workstream program management tools. Must have excellent organizational skills and a proven background in working on multiple initiatives and with executive leadership teams. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with senior management, vendors, physician practices, and other outside entities.

  • Additionally, must meet the following competencies:

    • Ability to evaluate systems, processes, and workflows to develop plans for change, improvement, and/or integration

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to identify gaps and implement solutions

    • Good analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills

    • Recognize problems, issues and trends, obtain and analyze information, raise issues to the appropriate management, apply logical reasoning, recommend solutions and implement when appropriate

    • Strong data analysis, data presentation, spread sheet and database capabilities.

    • Understanding of key business applications and related information technologies

    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related discipline. Healthcare transaction, implementation, PMI, PMP Certification or a high level of demonstrated program management experience preferred.
