Position Summary:

The Sr. Marketing Coordinator leads the development of RFQ/RFP responses and client interviews on selected pursuits as well as customized qualification packages and presentations to support business development goals. Creates custom graphics to support Marketing projects. Is engaged in all aspects of the Marketing Department’s functions, including events management, social media, website management, direct e-marketing, and more.


Key Responsibilities and Key Functions:

Include the following. Other duties as assigned:


Proposals and Qualifications – Capable of start-to-finish assembly

  • Review initial RFQ/P and preparation of task list;
  • Review task list with Director of Marketing, Marketing Team, and Proposal Manager and assigned proposal team to develop response strategy and approach;
  • Collaborate with KBE preconstruction and construction staff to create responses to RFP questions. This includes narrative descriptions of services and project approaches;
  • Prepare custom qualifications packages on request for BD managers and Senior Managers;
  • Interact with Legal, Accounting and other departments to meet proposal requirements;
  • Responsible for the overall assembly of the final submission; or development of key components of submissions as assigned;
  • Package and ensure timely delivery of submissions.

Graphics

  • Create interview and presentation materials, sponsorship ads, presentation boards and other miscellaneous graphic materials.
  • Help maintain KBE brand standards throughout all graphics and presentations.

Knowledge Library

  • Gather and document project and staff details to support proposals and other business development pursuits;
  • Ensure integrity and completeness of project/staff data in existing CRM system (AEC 360/Microsoft Dynamics), including research and interviews with other company staff to gather/verify information;
  • Routinely update standard proposal narratives for knowledge library;
  • Store custom narratives and project/staff details in searchable database;
  • Data input on projects, personnel (as assigned), selected proposals/opportunities.

Company Strategic Planning

  • Help implement strategic plan strategy into internal communication programs;
  • Assist with strategies around branding, website enhancement and social media promotion.

Support Roles:


  • Websites and Intranet support
    • Support and/or lead the Marketing team in content updates and management for external websites (KBE, KBE-NY, CMP, and the KBE Foundation), and internal intranet;
    • Help improve quality and content of KBE’s communication tools (external and internal newsletters, websites, intranet) with innovative ideas.


  • Social Media (strategy, execution, coordination and analytics)
    • Support the Marketing team with social media posts through content creation and approaches to engagement;
    • Support Senior Management and other internal staff with corporation social media endeavor


  • Email/Direct Mail marketing
    • Support the Marketing team in the creation of external and internal email marketing programs through content creation and creative approaches to engagement


  • Events Coordination
    • Leads the organization of selected company events or supports other Marketing team members on other events (includes company culture/fun events, networking events, trade contractor meet-and-greets, in-office events, and annual meeting).


Education, Experience, & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related course of study;
  • 5-7 years marketing experience in construction, marketing, engineering; or architectural industry
  • Graphic design skills are a real plus
  • Experienced in proposal writing and preparation;
  • High proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign required. Knowledge of Photoshop and/or Illustrator is helpful but not essential)
  • Familiarity and experience using email marketing platforms, website/intranet back-end, SEO, (WordPress), analytics (HTML experience helpful but not necessary);
  • Experienced in social media strategy, execution, and analytics;
  • Experienced in public relations and media relations;
  • Events management experience;
  • Adept in use of CRM for reporting, research and updating;
  • Working knowledge of website design and terminology;


Proven skills in:

Planning and organization of assignments, including strong time personal and pursuit team management skills;
Supporting Marketing database/library with up-to-date, well written construction project information/narratives, personnel profiles, etc.;

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;

Attention to detail, proofreading and editing;

High level of creativity.

  • Adept in use of CRM for reporting, research and updating;
  • Working knowledge of website design and terminology;
