Produce high quality products and services for our customers. You will assemble and inspect product to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up and monitor the production of product in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production and quality improvements.

Honeywell is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Technician for our South Bend, IN facility.



Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in inventory focused project teams that support the organization’s business strategies with a direct impact on business unit/ function/ site overall results.
  • Support the shipping department by preparing documents for daily shipments.
  • Perform inspections to support delegated source inspector.
  • Assist in Product and Verification of Build Audits
  • Drive process improvements through RCCA- Root Cause Corrective Action.
  • Review product/processes and make recommendations as well as execute changes to improve product quality, yields and reduce escapes
  • Respond to requests for quality issues and communicate the level of Customer satisfaction; voice of the customer.
  • Ensure Quality System is understood and executed by associates with influence on product, regulatory or process quality.
  • Provide support to the site quality team to assure Quality and Operational goals and objectives are met
  • Support cross-functional teams in the execution and reporting of quality improvement projects with a focus on improved Quality Management Systems
  • Drive 'real time' RPS and RCCA- Root Cause Corrective Action that involve floor personnel in the prevention of defects
  • Establish key indicators for quality process control, customer, and performance improvement metrics that support site BIQ efforts and enhance Visual management for the Quality Management Board.
  • Understand and support the deployment of our safety philosophy
  • Active participation for audit processes including customer survey requests, on-site audits for customers, regulatory, government, both foreign and domestic, and internal network.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • High School Diploma
  • Due to ITAR requirements, must be a US citizen
