We have an excellent opportunity for a Sr. Manager, Marketing Communications, in our Mason, OH location. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and is key member of the residential marketing leadership team.

In this position, the successful candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:

  • Lead marketing efforts for a billion-dollar business with a focus on driving leads that result in sales and understanding how to effectively track results and metrics.
  • Develop and drive channel marketing opportunities.
  • Identify, create and manage dealer merchandising and showroom materials, collateral, advertising and communications support for the dealer channel. Includes initiation, research, budgeting, implementation, project management and communications of each element. Ensure all materials and other dealer marketing communications are kept updated, accurate and current. Communicate internally/externally and online and offline.
  • Work with retail channel marketing personnel to support and implement retail merchandising and marketing materials as required. Work with retail channel managers to ensure budgets are maintained.
  • Assist dealers with their advertising, on-line marketing, merchandising, showroom and home show needs as required. Communicate ways to improve their marketing and best practices. Provide training when requested and as required.
  • Manage graphics development for optimum productivity, cost, brand/logo management and graphics standards. Determine best utilization of inside vs outside resources.
  • Manage dealer promotions including program creation and justification, communications internally/externally and with rebate fulfillment companies, merchandising, post promotion sales and profit analysis and sales force follow-up.
  • Participate in budget planning and management.
  • Manage the ADP (Authorized Dealer Program) including dealer sales qualification for the program, issuing new AAD (Advance Authorized Dealer) or MAD (Master Authorized Dealer) letters and recognition. Communicate co-op advertising status and help ensure advertising qualifies, award plaques are issued, and program value is clearly communicated and maintained.
  • Assist with product management in the development of new product rollouts including research, rollout planning/implementation, project management and budgeting.
  • Manage Residential brochure printing, merchandising, catalog and sample budget and invoicing. Obtain quotes. Ensure no out of stocks and maintain budget. Assist with yearly budgeting and cost reduction recommendations.
  • Helping to support International Builders Show and the Door and Operator Industry Expo. Includes developing strategy, managing and maintaining the budget, communications before and after the show.
  • Manage Clopay’s advertising, creative development and execution. Includes budget management, coordination with media buying, creative and placement and communicating internally and externally. Help manage PR projects, including show home door installations and Clopay branding and on-air interviews as required.
  • Travel to markets and communicate with sales and DC managers, retailers and dealers to keep abreast of marketing support requirements for the residential market. Make recommendations based on findings. Attend DC open houses and assist with training on Clopay’s merchandising and marketing materials as required.
  • Initiate, lead, and participate in project related teams as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Advertising, Communications, Graphic Design or Journalism or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a marketing position.
  • Strong digital marketing experience and skills.
  • Strong writing skills with an eye for effective copy and creativity of design.
  • Prior supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Must be able to travel approximately 15%.
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator preferred.
  • Prior experience with managing departmental budget.
