Who we are
Corebridge Financial’s Leveraged Capital team manages approximately $2bn of middle market and syndicated leveraged loan investments as part of the Private Credit portfolio. These investments are typically loans used to support financial sponsor M&A activity across the UK and Europe.
About the role
In this Sr. Investment Analyst role, you will support Leveraged Capital Managing Directors in evaluating new transaction opportunities and monitor a portfolio of existing loans. New investment recommendations and amendment and restructuring negotiations must be conducted using good judgment on credit, structure and pricing with the goal of providing appropriate levels of protection and return for the risk taken. The position will entail working with the Leveraged Capital team to:
  • Manage credits in the Leveraged Capital portfolio including: reviewing periodic financial and compliance statements; completing credit reviews; analyzing amendment requests; ensuring accurate monthly portfolio pricing; and other duties as assigned. Develop and maintain relationships with management teams and industry contacts to support proactive portfolio management.
  • Assist in the analysis, review, and recommendation of new transactions including: developing financial models; analyzing industry trends and issues; drafting approval memoranda; participating in due diligence meetings with issuer management; conducting reference checks; and presenting transaction opportunities to the Corebridge Private Credit Investment Committee.
  • Follow sound risk management and compliance protocols within Corebridge.
  • Maintain relationships and help coordinate diligence discussions with issuers, private equity sponsors, debt advisors and other investors, as well as work with internal constituents to source and close transactions.
  • Work with in-house and external counsel, to satisfactorily document amendments and new transactions.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
Organizational Structure
  • This position will report to one of two Managing Directors, who in turn report to the Head of Leveraged Capital. This team currently has seven professional members, as part of the larger Private Credit Group.
An ideal candidate should have
  • 2+ years' experience in debt capital markets.
  • University degree from a recognized college or university is required.
  • Strong modelling skills in a credit analysis environment
