Job Description

Responsible for human resources (HR) administrative support at site, including payroll processing, recruitment, pre-employment process, applicant tracking, new hire orientation, personnel change notifications and HR administration duties. Update and maintain employee information within HRIS. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Handles entire recruiting cycle including position requisitions, applicant screening, coordinate employment advertising, all offer and post-offer processing, and new hire onboarding. Maintains applicant flow data for Affirmative Action (AA) / Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) purposes.

Conducts new hire orientations to ensure all required forms are completed (e.g., W-4, state tax forms, Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) I-9 forms, etc.) and forward or file as needed. Assists employees with preparation and submission of all personnel-related forms on an as needed basis.

Maintains all personnel records. Ensures original records are forwarded filed as needed.

Verifies payroll information and communicates changes. Maintains accurate record of employees' time, including sick/vacation days and personal holidays.

Submits all personnel changes including notifications regarding changes in pay rates, job titles and account codes/locations as well as payment of bonuses/incentives and tracking of employees on leaves of absence.

May assist with the administration of workers compensation functions to ensure all appropriate forms have been completed, including preparation of injury reports and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) / regulatory logs as well as maintaining records on lost time and modified duty time for injured employees. May also assist with safety functions, such as coordinating drug testing and working with clinics, attending all safety calls and preparing any monthly safety materials, etc.

Assists with administration of tuition assistance and Employee Assistance Program (EAP), benefits administration along with employee relations projects such as company social events and charitable campaigns, etc.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED

3 - 5 Years Human Resources (HR) administrative experience in high volume work environment

Demonstrated excellence in verbal/written communication and responsive customer service mindset

Intermediate computer skills including MS Office Suite, Outlook, MS Teams

Experience with HRIS for applicant tracking, time clock management, payroll systems and personnel admin systems

Preferred Qualifications

Associate's degree in human resources or related HR certifications in payroll, leave administration or other areas

6+ years Human Resources (HR) administrative experience in high volume work environment

Foodservice distribution or related industry experience such as logistics, warehousing or transportation

Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite, Outlook, MS Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Experience with BrassRing applicant tracking system, UKG UltiPro, UKG Workforce Dimensions, HireRight and electronic learning management systems (eLMS)
