The Digital Solution Delivery organization at TJX focuses on the customer-driven experiences across the globe, including all of our eCommerce domains, mobile apps, loyalty programs, in-store digital experiences, and more. We are builders and innovators extending TJX's renowned treasure hunt experience to new audiences and fans.

As a Senior Engineer you will help shape our mobile apps to the next level in terms of tools, frameworks and technologies. You will contribute to the Engineering of large scale solutions that enables business while supporting the strategic architectural vision of quality, scalability, performance and function. Working within an established SAFe framework, in this role you will work on the various scrum teams to ensure that designs are being adhered and coded/configured per quality standards. In this role you will be exposed to all the aspects of the product – front end development, API’s and cloud service. The ideal candidate for this role not only is able to produce high quality work quickly, but also serves as a resource to their peers around them and provides mentoring whenever possible supporting the more junior members of the engineering team to oversee their progression.

Senior Engineers are typically responsible for the following:

• Develop new features and services that are low-medium level of complexity working with the product/platform/infrastructure/security team.
• Design, code, deploy & support working software/technology component, working collaboratively with architects and other engineers.
• Build systems and services that have immediate impact for our business.
• Create Architecture, Estimates, Design, Code, COTS configuration for the required business feature.
• Responsible for code analysis, debugging, review and execution of unit/integration tests. Create test automation scripts.
• Responsible for delivering clean, secure, performant code / technology components that meets all the non-functional requirements.
• Responsible for achieving operational excellence as part of delivering feature.
• Acts in Lead Engineer capacity for medium to large initiatives, prioritizing and assigning tasks, providing guidance and resolving issues.
• Sets up application jobs, creates test data, and supports deployment, all at a medium to high level of complexity.
• Adheres to Sarbanes Oxley compliance and all TJX Company standards as applicable.
• Fully Owns Features. Co-owns Epic with strong guidance. Begins deeper questioning of processes in order to improve them.

The Mobile App team is looking for people with a passion for technology, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to try new things to drive better solutions and get results. We want people that are familiar with the challenges of developing and deploying software in the cloud as we continue to modernize.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-5 years of software design, development, testing and implementation experience
• Solid knowledge of the mobile industry including Android & iOS devices, platform and application experiences.
• Experience in developing iOS and Android applications using Flutter (DART)
• Experience in a cloud environment (MS Azure)
• Understanding of monitoring high-uptime, resilient software systems.
• Familiarity with security concerns in Mobile apps and enterprise software.
• Experience with the MVVM design pattern using an MVVM Framework such as MVVMCross or Prism.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Passion for great application architecture and user-experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing DevOps templates & scripts using ARM, PowerShell, BASH, etc.
• Understanding of networking technologies such as DNS, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Load-Balancers.
• Familiarity with application performance monitoring technologies, such as Jira, Github, App Insights
