Overview:
Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Senior Brand Marketing Strategist, working remotely from any location in the continental US. Candidates must be able to work within Eastern (EST) or Central (CST) business hours.

As a Senior Strategist, you will be a part of Perficient's Digital Marketing Practice. You will have responsibility for the success of client relationships, acting as the consultant advising clients on brand marketing strategies that align to their business goals and customer needs/emotions.

The ideal candidate will seamlessly blend strong client management skills with creative brand marketing prowess, rooted in a sound understanding of client target audiences, competitive market dynamics, brand positioning, guidelines, and client goals and objectives. Experience with audience research (including persona and customer journey development), content strategy, taxonomy and information architecture design, and/or email strategy are also a plus.

Candidates should be prepared to share work samples of brand strategy recommendations such as positioning statements, messaging frameworks, brand architecture, brand guidelines, etc.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading or co-leading client engagements that include a brand marketing strategy focus, which may include audience research, brand architecture, brand positioning, value proposition messaging, visual identity, governance and/or content strategy.
  • Developing brand strategies and programs in collaboration with clients, other internal stakeholders and lines of business on program execution. In doing so, you will act as trusted adviser on brand marketing efforts, leveraging insights about their business challenges and opportunities as inputs.
  • Moderating client discovery sessions and/or customer/stakeholder interviews to understand the current state and background of clients’ brands and sub-brands.
  • Conducing high-level brand valuation and/or value/benefits analyses to determine the relative contribution of sub-brands, product and service lines to overall client business— leveraging new and existing customer research.
  • Reviewing the visual identity and logo marks to determine relevance, consistency and applicability against brand research insights – factoring in the value of any trademarks and/or licensing requirements and long-term business goals.
  • Developing cross-channel brand migration activation campaign strategies, brand guidelines/standards, in-depth brand governance models, communication and enablement plans, platform recommendations for management of brand assets (including DAM).
  • Recommending new initiatives that drive future client growth, and provide a brand experience that culminates in innovative, results-oriented work product.
  • Delivering brand marketing programs and projects on time and on budget. Critical to this position is your ability to analyze project requirements, organize and prioritize tasks, identify risks early, and manage the brand marketing program process efficiently.
  • Providing direction and oversight to multi-disciplinary team members supporting brand program execution and guiding their efforts through the entire project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience managing corporate and/or client brand marketing programs.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage brand marketing programs through the entire project lifecycle, including strategy, planning, execution, reporting, and maintenance. Example brand programs include brand architecture, brand positioning, value proposition messaging and visual identity.
  • Experience working with clients and internal stakeholders to develop brand marketing program plans, client presentations, creative briefs and brand guidelines/standards.
  • Proven success managing and delivering brand programs with a data-driven approach, including familiarity with audience segmentation, brand tracking and benchmarking research – such as net promoter scores (NPS), brand loyalty, aided/unaided awareness, recall and consideration.
  • Experience setting and communicating priorities to project teams, while managing multiple, often fast-paced projects simultaneously.
  • Client-centric work ethic and ability to motivate and foster a sense of teamwork among project team members and the client.
  • The professionalism, confidence and attention to detail necessary to earn the respect of client executives, peers and project team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
