POSITION: Full-time Senior Bookkeeper

( Minimum of 40 hours/week )

• Must have a minimum of 7-15 years experience in public accounting and be proficient in Quickbooks (online and desktop versions), Excel, and Outlook.
• A CPA firm’s experience and understanding of tax season is a plus.
• Knowledge and experience with Xero, FreshBooks, Zoho Books is all considered a plus.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Bookkeeping data entry, review, problem-solving, research, reconciliation, and higher-
• level review of the financial statements for accuracy & locating inconsistencies
• Research of various tax topics and communicate findings to clients/Lead Bookkeeper
• Helping clients with documents, questions, issues
• Communication with clients/government agencies / other staff
• Monthly input data / Reconcile
• Manage client communications (talk to clients, give them WOI, answer their questions, coordinate meetings with other team members)
• Ensure their designated clients are in compliance with the 1099 requirements
• Ensure Sales tax compliance for their clients
• Make sure to notify their seniors if they notice something unusual in their client’s books of accounts – For example indications of siphoning of money

Working hours:

In our firm, the minimum requirement and non-negotiable is 40 hours a week, which may include possible weekend shifts, mandatory meetings, training, and events with staff and clients. During tax season, a high fluctuation of hours (50 – 60 hours) is expected and you may be called upon to assist other teams when needed.
