This position is located at our Fort Worth, Texas corporate office and has the potential to be a hybrid position with up to 50% remote work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work in a position that provides cross-functional exposure to various departments within Finance and the BNSF organization, including: Engineering, Mechanical, Transportation, Marketing and Technology Services.
- Prepare and analyze the monthly capital close and forecast reporting.
- Assist in the development of the annual capital plan and long range capital plan.
- Assemble and evaluate information from various sources to assist in Investing Activities management, planning and analysis.
- Lead the production and distribution of the Investing Activities Review materials.
- Provide various ad-hoc executive and financial reporting requests including preforming detailed analysis on capital spending and preparing a variety of presentation materials.
- Assist budget teams and business partners in preparing CPARs, utilization of Capital Planning tools, and tracking of capital spending / reconciliations.
- Manage a capital budget line.
- Positively contribute to a high-morale / high-performance culture and demonstrate the ability to organize team efforts to accomplish common goals.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher required in Accounting, Finance, or Business related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft programs.
- Comfortable working with and interpreting large volumes of data.
- Effective communicator, comfortable communicating with various levels of leadership across the organization.
- Detail oriented, highly organized, and production of accurate and reliable information is very important.
- Successful candidate must be a self-starter, have the ability to meet deadline-oriented tasks and demonstrate the ability to organize team efforts to accomplish common goals.
- Flexible, able to adjust readily to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
- Must work well independently and as a part of a high performing team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
MBA/CPA or other professional certifications a plus
SAP, Tableau, and SharePoint expertise a plus
