Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and provide intervention for students with speech and language disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals based on students' specific needs.
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative techniques.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine eligibility for speech and language services.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input regarding students' communication needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and technology in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation, including progress reports, therapy notes, and other relevant records.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Solid understanding of speech and language disorders, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and record-keeping.
