Overview:
Speech Language Pathologist - Inpatient - PRN
Looking for an energetic and motivated SLP who wants to part of our rehab team. This PRN Float position is in both the IPR- (Inpatient rehabilitation Hospital) setting and the Day Neuro OP setting. Availability to cover Monday to Friday and 1-2 weekend days per month are required. Responsible for Patient Initial Evaluations including goals and Plan of Care, treatment progressions, weekly status notes and DC assessments. Acute or IPR experience preferred as well as experience with the adult Neuro population. Our hospital is located in Lakeway Texas in the scenic hill country on the southern shores of Lake Travis. Lakeway is a resort community about 25 miles west of downtown Austin. The city offers an outdoor lifestyle with a 65 mile long lake, golf courses, tennis courts, marinas, a private airport, 100 acres of parkland hiking and biking trails, and nearly 500 acres of greenbelts.
Select Medical complies with state and federal wage and hour laws. PRN Rate: $55 /hr *Plus hourly shift differential for weekends.

Responsibilities:
Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.

Specific Duties
- Evaluate assigned patients and establish appropriate treatment goals and programs.
- Coordinate treatment program in conjunction with other clinical/therapeutic services as available community resources.
- Develop comprehensive goals for patient treatment to maximize patient outcomes and return to community activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist required.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association or eligibility for Certification pending professional experience required.
- Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
