We are looking for a passionate, responsible, energetic Assistant Teacher for our Afternoon Program.

This is a part time position with the ability to increase hours if desired by acting as a substitute for morning teachers. One Hundred Leaves Preschool offers an innovative and emerging program for children ages 2 to 5, founded on the arts and conscious exploration, built on inspiration from Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches to learning.

The ideal candidate would have the following requirements:

• Bilingual: Spanish/English. All classes are taught exclusively in Spanish
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children in a classroom setting
• Passion for guiding children in their self-development
• Trustworthy, reliable, innovative and committed to children
• Lifelong learner who inspires children to love learning
• Experienced with Conscious Discipline, a comprehensive classroom management approach supporting social emotional growth

Job Responsibilities

• Have a flexible and open mindset to new approaches to helping children reach their potential
• Empower students by establishing trusting, respectful relationships that nurture their responsibility and joy in their own learning
• Assist in preparing and developing unique lesson plans and provocations based on observations and documentation
• Assist in guiding children in developing their social, physical, intellectual and emotional skills
• Continually observe, assess and document student growth to ensure each child is engaged, supported and challenged
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a wonderful school environment and experience
• Communicate and collaborate with parents
• Assist in the organization and maintenance of classroom materials
• Ideal candidate is a responsible and reliable individual with a passion for children and early childhood education

We’re proud to offer a partnership with Paradise Valley Community College for free tuition for a Child Development Associate’s degree as well as other tuition-free programs and classes.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
