Looking for an energetic, hard working, driven individual who is interested in broadening their career within a fast growing environment and company. Jack’s Chop House is the newest, hottest restaurant in Fredericksburg. As an old school type steakhouse, we are dedicated to great dry and wet aged steaks and our subtle Italian influenced dishes.

The ideal candidate must:

Have at least 5 years of recent relevant work experience and at least 3 years of experience in traditional steakhouse cuisine

Have experience working in upscale dining establishments

Be able to work flexible hours

Have good communication skills, proficiency in Spanish is a plus

Be eligible to work in the United States

Duties:

Facilitates food preparation and assists executive chef.

Assists in designing food and drink menu.

Produces high quality plates in both design and taste.

Oversees kitchen operations and supervises staff.

Assists executive chef with menu development, inventory and management of goods.

Keeps up with vendor communication.

Orders food/supplies.

Assists executive chef and kitchen crew in keeping kitchen neat, tidy and clean.

Makes sure food is in best quality.

Offers suggestions and ideas to improve kitchen operations

Leads the team to prepare food properly and to the best of their ability

Trains new employees and cross trains existing

Manages stations to keep them clean and up to food safety standards

Assists executive chef with scheduling

Manages kitchen equipment, makes service calls and supervises services

Takes control of any and all problems that may arise in the kitchen

Jack’s is a high end Chop House consiting of culinary professionals who are eager to learn and are easily coached. It is a small kitchen, so we are a tight knit group. We are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and only run dinner service.
