We are hiring a Global Sourcing Specialist - Apparel who will be responsible for new project bidding and cost negotiation, COG management, vendor selection, vendor relationship and management, product/concept development, production and quality, new vendor and material sourcing for our Apparel division.

How you will contribute:

• New project bidding and cost negotiation with suppliers
• Sourcing new suppliers for apparel products
• Vendor selection
• Communication and partnership with vendors
• Calculate Freight-in and Freight-out cost
• Development problem solving with product team and vendors
• Prepare and present at weekly meetings
• Review new concept and programs with Program Managers
• Consulting on new concepts and programs
• Give suggestions on material and design
• Manage weekly project reports
• Production and quality coordination
• Review pre-production samples and give suggestions
• Package weight control

What you will bring and skills that excite us:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• 5+years’ sourcing and procurement experience in the apparel industry
• Experience in sourcing consumer product from Asia, Mexico and India
• Proven cost negotiation skills
• Sourcing experience in apparel, handbags, small accessories and shoes
• Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Power Point and ability to learn internal report systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills a must
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proven project management and strong organizational skills to achieve multi-tasking
• International travel experience
• Overseas sourcing experience from China
• Overseas manufacturing experience, understanding of manufacturing processes
• Basic understanding of international transportation and U.S. Customs/duty classification
• Bilingual in both English and Spanish strongly preferred
