Position Overview:

A Sourcing Specialist is needed to support the growing Sourcing Department within HomeServe. This position will be responsible for supporting category management in the promoting, and implementation of our sourcing strategies and projects that drive excellence in supplier quality, delivery, and cost. The role will work with the business on the full sourcing life cycle – sourcing vendors, market analysis, RFP/I development, price/contract negotiations, SOW and SLA development. The role will also involve building efficiencies and streamlining our Vendor On-Boarding and Vendor Management Programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Sourcing Team in the development, promotion, and execution of strategies with defined plans for cost savings, service level agreements and risk assessment.
  • Lead sourcing projects and negotiations with suppliers to improve cost, service, quality, and inventory for designated spend/categories.
  • Provide analysis of spend data, price fluctuations, and market trends to prioritize and launch sourcing initiatives within designated spend/categories.
  • Analyze current spend and evaluate current suppliers. Consolidate spend across our supply base to create leverage, analyze purchasing trends and develop sourcing alternatives.
  • Use of competitive bid process to ensure we have the best possible pricing.
  • Responsible for strategic supplier relationships and performance. Support in business reviews with top suppliers and regularly re-evaluate supplier ranking within designated spend/categories.
  • Support new supplier qualification process and other process improvement projects within the business.
  • Become a subject matter expert in designated spend/categories through external research, benchmarking and analyzing cost drivers and life cycle costs. Provide market intelligence and category price trends.
  • Promote continuous improvement of productivity and efficiency of sourcing processes throughout the organization as assigned.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on supply chain conditions and projects as requested.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
  • Well rounded, self-confident, outgoing personality able to work with many different areas of the business and able to listen and communicate effectively.
  • Experience with Procurement Process: RFI’s, RFQ’s, RFP’s and awards.
  • Must be detail oriented and have an understanding of contract language, e.g. limit of liability, indemnification, termination, warranty clauses.
  • Creative in developing negotiating strategies, especially when there is only one source.
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task, addressing many different contracts and RFP’s at one time by working efficiently.
  • Experience in risk mitigation in supplier selection and contracting.
  • Background in sourcing projects that involve the handling of PII and PCI DSS requirements.
  • Approaches supplier negotiations and partnerships with a view of the total cost of ownership in mind.
  • Understands the business folks are the “customers” of Sourcing. Keen on adding value for the customers.
  • Track record in achieving savings for the organizations for whom he/she works.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; comfortable presenting to a group.
  • An ability to adapt and thrive in a demanding environment where you are competing for people’s time.
  • Strong project management skills; sensitive to delivering on time.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Experience sourcing within Advertising/Marketing space is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree – Supply Chain, Business, Finance/Accounting preferred.
  • Intermediate skills with Excel, Word, Outlook

Salary Range:

57,938.00 to $77,250.50 USD

Annual Bonus Potential: 5%
