Please note : This role is hybrid with 2 to 3 days in the office.

As a back-end Web Developer, you will share your talents with us in the following ways:

Design, code and debug programs specializing in server-side technology
Collaborate in a team environment using a lightweight agile development process
Work closely with our Technical Product Owners to understand requirements and develop solutions that adhere to industry and Room & Board standards
Estimate and manage timeframes and dependencies
Participate in group improvement activities and initiatives to improve quality and pursue excellence
Exemplify our Staff Member Attributes - Inclusive, Authentic, Work Ethic, Collaborative and Curious
The tools and technologies you'll use, and the experience you'll bring as a qualified back-end Web Developer:

Minimum of 5-7 years relevant development experience
Demonstrated knowledge of and use of Java, Spring and object-oriented analysis and design
Ability to write and optimize queries for MongoDB and PostgreSQL and display an understanding of databases
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot operational issues
Experience with code reviews and performance tuning
Proficiency with unit testing
Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (Docker, Tomcat, Ansible, CI/CD)
Experience working within an Agile development framework
A curious learner who stays abreast of technology and industry best-practices
Permanent authorization to work in the United States without corporate sponsorships
