Federal Data Systems is looking for a Software Developer. The Software Developer will work in an environment where they can design the architecture and develop solutions to meet the organization’s needs while enhancing your skillset and advancing your career. Looking for an innovative, and motivated individual to join a small, talented, and hardworking development team creating enterprise level web base services.

Essential Job Functions

This team designs, creates, maintains, and troubleshoots multiple web-based applications that are deployed in both cloud and local on-premises environments.

Minimum Required Qualifications

· Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.

· Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of system administration experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

· Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI with Poly.

· CompTia Security+ Certification required.

· JavaScript experience required.

· Experience with and exposure to one or more of the following:

- Java

- HTML

- CSS

· Exposure to MariaDB, MS SQL, MySQL, or Oracle.

· Excellent troubleshooting skills.

· Self-motivated and willing to learn new technologies.

Desired/Preferred Skills:

· Experience with AWS or Azure cloud environment.

· Experience working in an Agile development environment.

Working Conditions:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.

Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.

Background Screening/Check/Investigation:

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
