Job Overview:

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a software development professional to be part of ODM's Application Development Team. As a Senior Salesforce Developer, your responsibilities will include:

  • working with Application Development staff and stakeholders to provide overall direction, guidance, definition, and facilitation for the advancement of software development solutions required to meet business strategies and goals

  • developing customized high quality business solutions within the Salesforce CRM platform

  • participating in all aspects of the project life cycle (e.g., initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and postproduction support of the application)

  • ensuring current and/or future business process flows are defined and documented

  • conducting detailed alternative analyses and determines end-user requirement(s)

  • consulting with end-users, technicians, vendors, management, and others

  • leading and/or participating in architecture and technical design sessions

Qualifications


Completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 36 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: providing solutions design, developing project plans with project manager or recommending approach through defining tasks and/or leading meetings relating to programs for computer applications including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.

  • Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 42 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: providing solutions design, developing project plans with project manager or recommending approach through defining tasks and/or leading meetings relating to programs for computer applications including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
  • Or 60 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: providing solutions design, developing project plans with project manager or recommending approach through defining tasks and/or leading meetings relating to programs for computer applications including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology as specified by the agency position description & job posting.
  • Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.


Supplemental Information:

On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Required to carry a cellular phone as assigned. Required to work occasional overtime as assigned.

Job duty, knowledge, skill & ability statements at lower level are understood to be able to be performed at any higher level.

Travel required, as needed. Must provide own transportation. Or, in order to operate a state vehicle, you must have a valid driver's license from state of residence.
