Job Description


You will be a member of a global 3E QA team accountable for quality of 3E applications you are assigned with and responsible for functional integration and solution testing of those applications. Your prime responsibility is to perform manual and automated testing services to a group of talented software designers, a product owner and a product manager while being a member of an Agile Scrum team. Your team members and stakeholders are located in various locations: Canton, Carlsbad and Bethesda in USA, Markdorf and Frankfurt in Germany, Sofia in Bulgaria, Krakow in Poland and Chandigarh and Noida in India. You will participate in all relevant Scrum meetings, project meetings as well as QA team meetings. You will report to a QA Team Lead located in Canton and work with a Quality Assurance Director located in Carlsbad. You will interact closely with your Scrum team members who are located in Canton, Ohio.

  • Perform 3E Generate and/or 3E Notify testing to validate new features, new enhancements and required upgrades in Development and QC environments through:
    • Participating in all Agile Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint planning, Daily standup, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective and Backlog grooming
    • Reviewing and validating requirements
    • Writing test strategy, test plan and test cases and/or Acceptance Criteria for the user stories being assigned
    • Setting up test environment and preparing test data
    • Participate in automation coding of some of the existing/newly created test cases
    • Performing Feature/ Smoke/ Regression/ E2E/ System/ Exploratory/ API / Performance testing
    • Capturing test results in Zephyr, Jira and Confluence
    • Reporting issues in Jira defects
    • Performing defect fix validation and updating the ticket in Jira
    • Documenting all test work products in shared drive, Jira and Confluence
  • Work and collaborate closely with application developers, product owners, Scrum masters, application users, product managers, stakeholders and internal/external customers to ensure the delivered application functionality meets all requirements with high quality
  • Organize regular tests with operations team members, end-users and customers
  • Accountable for the quality of the software solution assigned to test and corresponding end-to-end processes

Qualifications
  • Three or more years of combined manual and automated software testing work experience testing 3E Generate application and/or one or more of enterprise/web/cloud applications.
  • In-depth work experience in software quality assurance and quality control (verification and validation) in the context of Agile Scrum SDLC and STLC methodologies, functional and non-functional testing, acceptance testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, API testing, E2E testing, smoke testing and exploratory testing.
  • Ability to define quality for the assigned products and subsequently analyze, define and implement tasks according to the defined test strategy and test plan.
  • Work experience in creating, executing and maintaining high level and detailed test plan, and test cases while prioritizing corresponding activities (risk management). Involve stakeholders and teams across organization in reviewing test strategies, test plans and test cases to ensure high quality.
  • Able to acquire in-depth functional understanding of the product including relevant business processes and workflows.
  • Capable of understanding process standards and using corresponding QA test tools.
  • Work experience using Jira defect/agile software management tool and Confluence Wiki Information management tool.
  • Work experience with a test automation tool stack such as Selenium WebDriver, Eclipse, Java, Windows .NET Core OS, Azure DevOps On-Prem TFS+ and/or TestComplete.
  • Familiarity with Java programming or other programming/scripting languages such as JavaScript or C#.
  • Detail-oriented, determined to solve problems and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable, analytical, independent-minded and have good time management skill.
  • Organized, customer oriented, dedicated and have good reporting skill.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to continuously improving processes
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent is preferred

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with a test management tool such as Zephyr
  • Familiarity with API testing methods, protocols, testing types and associated tools such as Postman
  • Working knowledge of SQL, basic programming constructs, windows and Linux command line operations
  • Familiarity with AWS/Azure Cloud concepts or any other cloud experience is a plus

The anticipated salary range for this position is $52,480-$60,000. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate’s skills, experience, geography, and qualifications as well as the candidate's location of residence. In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance, and/or equity depending on the position offered.
