Title: Social Media Manager

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated Social Media Manager to join our award-winning communications agency. As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for managing client social media accounts, leading strategy calls, creating client performance reports, organizing and implementing social media strategies in conjunction with other team members, and innovating social media products, among additional tasks.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop comprehensive action plans incorporating various social media channels to drive social media engagement across various social platforms for clients.
  • Manage client social media campaigns in all aspects, from content creation to promotion.
  • Monitor trends and appropriately apply new or alternative methods for achieving high-impact results.
  • Connect with clients on a regular basis to answer questions, apply strategies, and review social media campaign performance.
  • Strategize with and educate agency and client teams on incorporating relevant social media techniques into the corporate culture and into all of the company's products and services.
  • Work with and train other colleagues to develop social media editorial calendars.
  • Stay up-to-date with the newest social media platforms to keep the agency at the cutting edge of social media
  • Identify opportunities and networking prospects for clients across various social media channels.
  • Utilize paid media marketing budgets set forth by clients monthly.
  • Show deliverable metrics to clients while optimizing KPI’s for upcoming months.
  • Create collaboration opportunities with local “Influencers” within set client guidelines.

Requirements & Attributes:

  • 2+ years of experience developing and activating social media campaigns in an agency setting
  • Knowledge of and experience in social media marketing (SMM), including: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and more
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business, or a related field is preferred
  • Ability to work successfully with multiple projects at one time
  • Strong understanding of social media research, monitoring, and reporting tools and analytics
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Passion and accountability for the quality of work produced
  • Strong understanding of paid advertising (Facebook & Instagram) and general understanding of on-page and local SEO
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to handle multiple ongoing tasks with changing priorities
  • Insatiable desire to learn
  • Highly innovative and creative
  • Knowledge of social media and analytics software (Sprout Social, Google Analytics, etc.) is a plus (but not required)
  • Client service/account management experience required
  • 1-2 years of experience in managing people
  • Ability to take quality photos (a plus, but not required).
