Job Summary:

The Social Catering Sales Manager is responsible for developing existing business and solicit new catering business through catering lead generation and catering sales marketing. The Social Catering Sales Manager will also book, sell, plan and coordinate special events while assuring the highest level of customer service with a large focus on our wedding clients.

Activities & Responsibilities:

• Ability to provide timely response and exceptional level of service to clients
• Maintain a positive, friendly and professional manner in all interactions with clients, team members, industry vendors, etc.
• Prepare proposals and event orders for all events and meetings with great attention to detail
• Understand overall revenue strategy, how to evaluate business opportunities
• Use creativity to close new business and maximize revenue
• Provide timely follow up and communication with clients throughout sales process
• Post/billing for events as needed
• Ability to negotiate contrat terms and agreements
• Ability to network and form relationships within the event execution
• Learn operations portion of event planning and event management
• Will act as Event Manager on some events as needed during peak times of the year

Qualifications and Experience:

• One year experience in Sales and Catering and/or event planning
• Proven capability and desire to provide an exceptional level of service to clients and team members
• Ability to effectively negotiate terms and agreements
• Able to work a flexible schedule based on business demands
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to life at least 40lbs
• Must have clean driving record and reliable transportation

Physical Requirements:

• Workload will encompass a 45-50 hour work week
• This job will require working most weekends and some holidays including New Years Eve
