Provide targeted and intensive mental health services for elementary general education students using a trauma informed approach. Collaborate with building administrator, social emotional learning team, teachers, and other building professionals to proactively address mental health needs of general education students. Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

• Master's degree in school psychology, mental health counseling, social work, or related field.
• 1 years of experience in school based mental health, community/agency counseling, or clinical mental heath
• Willingness to contribute to cultural diversity for educational enrichment.
• Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
• Ability to work cooperatively with and engage in active participation with teachers, teaching assistants and other mental health and general education personnel to provide intervention and consultation regarding the needs of students.
• Ability to adhere to the professional ethical standards and guidelines developed by the National Association of School Psychology, the American Psychological Association., National association of Social Workers, and American Counseling Association.
• Ability to promote and follow the Board of Education policies, District policies, and building and department procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:

All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.

• Colorado Special Services Provider (SSP) license.
• Colorado driver's license.

Experience: Responsibilities:

The following tasks describe the basic functions of the job. The following frequencies and percentage of time spent are approximations.

Support mental health services and social emotional learning (particularly Tier II and III interventions) in a K-5 elementary school setting, including services and supports for students identified as experiencing social/emotional challenges; (50%)

Partner with teachers to implement Tier I Social-Emotional Learning in classrooms; (5%)

Serve on a leadership team for implementation of Trauma-Informed Practices; (10%)

Support implementation and data analysis of district universal social/emotional screening tool to identify students at risk of social/emotional challenges; (10%)

Coordinate data tracking for progress-monitoring for individual student and program outcomes;

Support social emotional learning program development and evaluation process;

Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and support staff to support student mental health needs. Support school safety procedures (threat assessments TAIP and suicidal risk easements SRA)

Work closely with families to identify unmet needs that may interfere with a student's learning, such as basic needs (housing, food, medical care, etc.), mental health needs, and learning needs;

Develop positive, collaborative working relationships with partner community agencies;
