Position Summary:

The SNAP E&T Program Coordinator provides campus coordination and support for a program that was established in response to Public Act 08-161 which enables cities and towns to participate in SNAP E&T, a federal program that offers reimbursement to organizations that help SNAP recipients train for and find regular employment or increased wages. The SNAP E&T Program Coordinator’s main function is to implement and coordinate all aspects of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education and Training (SNAP E&T) grant program at their respective campus.

Incumbents must possess proven ability to effectively work with a culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse faculty, staff, and student. They are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills along with strong Information technology literacy skills such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriately related field with one (1) or more years of related experience.

Successful Candidate must have or must possess:

  • Experience with planning and coordinating career-based activities
  • Experience in research data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) or more years of Case Management experience.
  • A track record of implementing state and federally funded grant programs.

Example of Job Duties:

Under the direction of the Director of Non-Credit Programs, the incumbent is responsible for the successful implementation of the grant through effective performance in these essential areas: Developing and distributing informational and promotional materials to publicize and market the College’s approved SNAP E&T programs; overall coordination of the grant; researching, writing, editing, and preparing grant program reports as well as presenting grant documents accompanied by support materials that are correct and complete and that meet the mandated requirements as stated by CT DSS and US DSS.

The SNAP E&T Program Coordinator must be able to work flexible hours and travel on occasion with adjustments made to their schedule to stay within the maximum 17hrs/week schedule.

Salary:
$35.61 hourly.
