Position: Laborer - Small Engine Repair

Pay Grade: MT-6

Duty Days: 240

Salary: KISD Current Staff Compensation Plan

Qualifications: Valid Texas Driver’s License

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Repair and maintain tools and equipment for the Maintenance Department
• Help establish and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all grounds equipment, auxiliary generators and other internal combustion equipment in the Maintenance Department with the exception of vehicles
• Assist in the processing and labeling of all grounds equipment, auxiliary generators and other equipment
• Maintain current records on all grounds equipment, auxiliary generators and other equipment with respect to repair and maintenance
• Respond to emergency breakdown of grounds equipment, auxiliary generators and other equipment anywhere it is being used on behalf of Klein Independent School District
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Director of Maintenance
• Report to the Grounds Coordinator

Work Conditions:

Maintain emotional control under stress.

Moderate irregular hours.

Works with frequent interruptions.

Preparation of materials may involve the packing, moving and lifting of equipment and supplies.

Work outside and inside; exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes and odors. Exposure to mechanical, electrical and chemical hazards
