Established in 1980, the Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) is a multi-site mission-driven non-profit organization employing over 700 staff whose primary focus is providing the highest quality patient care to residents throughout the Merrimack Valley. Nationally recognized as a leader in community medicine (family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics), GLFHC has clinical sites throughout the service area and is the sponsoring organization for the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program.

GLFHC is currently seeking a Site Operations Manager. The Site Operations Manager provides leadership to clinical staff, and oversees daily administrative and operational activities. Plans, develops, and implements systems that assure the site’s smooth operation. Works collaboratively with the medical staff and all other departments to ensure that the goals of the Health Center are accomplished.

  • Must be able to don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Recruits, trains, and develops staff. Initiates and communicates personnel actions including employment, termination, performance reviews and disciplinary action. Coaches and motivates employees to meet patient needs.
  • Provides leadership and direction for site in maximizing revenues and minimizing operating expenses by periodically reviewing patient billing and coding practices and compliance. Monitors site performance and develops strategies for improvement.
  • Formulates and reviews policies. Establishes procedures and standards to eliminate problems in the areas of patient care, work flow and to enhance quality and consistency of patient care.
  • Reviews incident reports for trends and risk factors. Takes action to correct situation and educate staff accordingly.
  • Responsible for daily practice flow. Checks clinic schedules to ensure accuracy. Responsible for clinician and support staff scheduling to ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain site target goals.
  • Facilitates communication among staff, other managers and departments. Acts as the facilitator for communication among supervised staff members. Schedules meetings to collect and disseminate information. Distributes written communications as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health related area.
  • Five years of experience in management and health care.

• Must work well within a multidisciplinary team and have excellent interpersonal, computer and personnel management skills. • Familiarity with Latino Community in Lawrence and commitment to the under-served.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
