Crafco, Inc. has an opening for a Silicone Mix Operator at our manufacturing plant in Chandler, AZ.

The Silicone Mix Operator is an integral role that collaborates closely with the Plant Manager and may also be responsible for training and supervision of other employees. This is a full time position, first shift, Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend or overtime, as needed. The Silicone Mix Operator is responsible for the safe and proper manufacturing of Crafco silicone products. The Silicone Mix Operator will batch, measure, and mix materials to guidelines set forth by the engineering and quality control departments.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

• Mix various raw materials per batch forms, following all instructions as detailed by sealant engineering
• Ensure accuracy of all weights and measurements
• Manage time for the efficient mixing and operation of the equipment to ensure proper batching times
• Accurate completion of production batch forms, and other paperwork, as needed
• Maintain work area in a clean, orderly fashion
• Training and supervision of others, as needed
• Notify supervisor, in a timely manner, of any equipment problems or any items which will affect quality, safety, schedule, attitude or performance of assigned duties
• Perform assigned duties in a safe, professional manner
• Professional cooperation with other departments, employees, customers, and visitors
• Perform other tasks assigned

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be willing to work overtime and various shifts, as needed
• Ability to read and accurately follow written and verbal instructions/directions
• Safety-focused with attention to detail
• Ability to maintain all work areas, equipment, and tools in a neat, safe, and organized manner
• Sound judgement, ability to check temperatures, mixing various ingredients to specific quantity and quality etc.
• Ability to perform physical operations of lifting and/or moving moderate weight items (25 - 60lbs), and occasionally move/carry heavy materials (over 60lbs).
• Work from elevated heights/platforms (10-30 feet) that require climbing stairs and fixed ladders for access.
