We are hiring a Shipping Supervisor. This role directs the activities of the receiving department by communicating with multiple functional areas, personnel, and management daily while maintaining a constant floor presence. They are responsible for the safety, quality standards, inventory accuracy and transformational objectives. Lead activities to achieve and improve cultural and performance standards. They have strong problem solving and communication skills.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Strong ability to adjust and resolve day to day issues to meet safety, quality, receiving and inventory goals. Create, coordinate, and execute daily personnel, delivery and logistical schedules to support production, inventory control and warehouse activities. Works closely with Area Managers, Supervisors, Maintenance, Purchasing, Supply Chain and Contractors. Ensures completion of management boards, inventory records and action items. Completion of payroll and 100% attainment of supervisor score card.
• Training and development of hourly personnel to provide mentoring and coaching. Ensures training sheets are maintained on all employees and make recommendations for employee advancement, training needs along with new employee onboarding. May provide input for succession planning and workforce initiatives.
• Keeps proper documentation to provide input for evaluations, training and development opportunities, merit increases, and disciplinary reports. Ability to complete and present evaluations. Ability to handle employee relations issues and can provide solid recommendations for disciplinary/termination during HR discussions along with execution. Actively participates in hiring process.
• Ensures hazardous conditions and risks are identified and eliminated. Assists in incident/accident investigation and reporting. Ensures completion of 6S.
• Drives rapid experiments and transformational activities. Provides input and oversees action items related projects Kaizen events, cost reduction initiatives and leads root cause analysis. I dentifies process improvement opportunities to improve overall departmental and conveyance efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Technical Skills/Certifications/Experience Required
