Shipping Lead
Responsible for coordinating and supervising shipping department in manufacturing environment. Schedules and dispatches shipments to trucking companies. Supervises and coordinates activities with picking product and preparing per customer specification for outbound shipment. Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule and manage work force to meet daily operational demands
- Schedule outbound shipments through various carriers
- Prepare documentation for both domestic and international shipments
- Ensures correct shipment of orders to customers
- Communicate any issues in daily production meeting
- Administrative duties including creating Bills of Lading and shipping labels, data entry, etc
- Help load trailers using forklift.
- Other duties as required or assigned
Knowledge/ Skills
- Shipping supervisor experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with ERP systems
- Stand up/Sit down Forklift Certification
- Good oral and written communication
- Good organization skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
