Shipping Coordinator Job Description
We are seeking a Shipping Coordinator who is responsible for routing outgoing shipments through various means of transportation, following standard procedures. Prioritizing workload and expedites. Measuring and weighing product and converting from English to metric if needed. Also responsible for completing necessary bills of lading, packing slips, ASN's (Advanced Ship Notices) and shipping alert notifications. Must Maintain and store/file shipping documents. High level of attention to detail and accuracy required.
Shipping Coordinator Job Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in shipping setting preferred.
- Manufacturing plant experience preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of inventory experience preferred.
- Forklift license preferred.
- Ability to read a packing slip, pick list, and training material for certification on forklift.
- Commitment to quality work.
- Commitment to safety and quality. Follow all safety and quality policies.
- Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal & written).
- Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel/ Outlook and exposure to inventory software.
- Data entry accuracy.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
- Ability to read work instructions in English.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
Shipping Coordinator Job Location/Working Conditions/Equipment
McKinney, TX plant. Time split between desk operating standard office equipment and warehouse setting with manual and powered material handling equipment. Must be physically able to sit, stand, bend, twist, reach, pull, and lift to 50 pounds.
