Join our team and grow with us! We are looking for Shift Leads to work in a hands-on position at our Stella Jean's scoop shop at our flagship store in University Heights.

Stella Jean's is a busy small batch ice cream shop utilizing real ingredients to produce the best ice cream we possibly can. We have set out to create a community space that offers chef-made, innovative handcrafted ice cream and neighborhood interaction.

Leveraging our sister company, Pop Pie Co., Stella Jean’s Ice Cream was born of the same philosophy – great food, celebrated with valued friends and neighbors. We aim to continue our tradition as a business that believes in a strong sense of community that includes employees and patrons.

Pay rate starts at $17.25/hour + tips (average tips are an additional $8 - $10/hour)

The ideal candidate:

· Has leadership experience (1+ years)

· Has extensive customer service experience (2+ years)

· Genuinely enjoys making customers happy

· Can work independently and with others

· Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Leads by example with a positive “yes I can” attitude

· Leads with compassion and always considers their team when making decisions

· Is calm under pressure

The following reflects some essential job functions of this position:

· Analyzes service and quality issues, identify training needs, ensure implementation of training programs, and adhere to all training guidelines and policies

· Provides leadership support and direction to the teams during their assigned shift

· Motivates, coaches and trains team members and set goals and accountability, providing appropriate feedback, rewards, and recognition

· Prioritizes the guest experience and act upon guest requests

· May perform similar duties as requested by Manager
