Job Summary
Responsible supporting and maintaining business solutions using the ServiceNow platform. This includes working requests/incidents and involvement in project tasks. Typically reports to Manager of Technical Services. Job Description

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelors Degree or two (2) years development, configuration and administration experience in an enterprise environment; Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is preferred

Licenses/Certifications: ITIL Certified

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
  • One (1) year development, configuration and administration experience in an enterprise environment
  • Experience with ServiceNow Service Portal and Content Management Systems (CMS)
  • Working in and managing multiple update sets and coordinating their promotion throughout multiple ServiceNow instances
  • Understanding in workflow design and implementation
  • Understanding Enterprise Integration with one of the following: SOAP, WSDL, JAXWS, JDBC,POWERSHELL,SNMP,REST
  • Familiarity with Web 2.0 Technologies (Java Scripting, XML, HTML, AJAX, Jelly, CSS)
  • Familiarity in JavaScript
  • Debugging, testing, and problem solving skills
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow components such as Service Catalog, Change/Incident/Problem Management, Asset Management, CMDB, Knowledge
  • Write and maintain the application software code that conforms to best practices for collaborative design and implementation
  • Collaboratively work with Agile/Scrum teams to develop and implement designed solutions to fulfill business requirements

Principal Accountabilities
  • Develops, prioritizes and executes projects according to established schedules and timeframes.
  • Follows and enforces technical and documentations standards
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and techniques in supporting other systems and application programmers in projects and complex problem solving efforts.
  • Use scripting tools & ServiceNow functionality to create scripts and automate tasks
  • Build Quality Assurance Scripts for Patch and Upgrade testing
  • Perform regular data audits and resolve identified issues
  • Maintain and support ServiceNow operational functions
  • Escalate to vendor and involve them in defect and incident resolution as required
  • Stay current on technologies that are required for this development.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum process that is leveraged as the teams SDLC.
  • Develop and implement enterprise IT tools to support an IT managed service delivery approach.
  • Focus on continual service improvement to increase efficiency and cost optimization of services, and IT service delivery processes.
  • Develop, define, and document systems management policies, processes, procedures, and drive implementation and use within the program.
  • Perform user administration on enterprise management supporting technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Further network assist by identifying reasonable evidence for failures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Manage data generated by the IT enterprise tools that generate tickets assigned to engineers for resolution and document IT issues for root cause analysis and lessons learned.
  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
