Located in a renovated, textile mill built in the mid-1800s in downtown Lewiston, Maine, Baxter Brewing Company is one of the fastest growing breweries in the Northeast. Baxter has grown to be the third largest brewery in Maine and in the top 15 breweries in New England. This role will be working out of the Pub at Baxter, a full-service restaurant located in a gorgeous 3,6000 sq. ft. area of the mill right next to the brewery. The Pub at Baxter has 24 beers on tap and a seasonally-updated varied menu filled with classic pub and gastropub fare as well as hand-crafted cocktails.

About the Role
The Pub at Baxter Brewing Company is seeking a friendly, and team-focused Front of House Team Member who can deliver excellent customer service. You will work as part of a collaborative team in a fun environment while continuously learning about craft beer, cocktails and food! All employees receive PTO.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Act as an ambassador for The Pub and Baxter Brewing Co, leading with excitement about our beers and menu
• Take customers’ food and drink orders
• Expedite and run food and drinks from kitchen/bar to customers
• Ensure that all orders are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Suggest appetizers and meals to guests
• Suggest beers and beer pairings to guests
• Work closely with restaurant management to immediately address all customer concerns and create a pleasant dining experience
• Confirm orders with the chefs and bartenders whenever a clarification is requested
• Operate in a team-based, tip pooling environment

Desired Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required
• 2+ years of restaurant or brewery experience preferred
• Must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Strong customer service skills required
• Weekends and Nights are required
• Ability to utilize a restaurant POS software platform a plus

Schedule and Perks

• This is position requires working evening and weekend shifts.
