Position Summary:

  • Under the supervision of the Spa & Salon Supervisor, greet guests, answer all incoming calls and guest questions, and book appointments for Spa & Salon services. Responsible for cash drawer and sale of products and services. Ensure cleanliness of front desk area including stocking of retail salon products, and the entire Spa and Salon, including the pool area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests and escort them to the private spa area in a professional manner.
  • Answer incoming calls and book appointments, take accurate messages, transfer calls accordingly, provide guests with details of services.
  • Listen to guests and resolve problems calmly as they occur.
  • Receive payments accurately and record all receipts.
  • Ensure the locker room, spa, and exercise area are clean, stocked, and orderly.
  • Maintain a safe and clean pool area. Enter the swimming pool to complete proper cleaning duties.
  • Assist department managers as needed.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of all policies and procedures.
  • Report to work on time and as scheduled.
  • Provide excellent customer service for all internal and external customers of the operations at all times. Provide solutions for customer concerns and continually focus on customer service as our top priority.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and present a positive, professional demeanor and image at all times.

Contacts/Purpose of Contacts:

  • Contact with Team Members and Leaders of the organization.
  • Contact with guests of hotel and spa/salon regularly.

Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
  • Knowledge of guest reservations.
  • Knowledge of cash handling.
  • Knowledge of simple filing systems and general office procedures.
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and procedures, including the pool area.
  • Skill in operating various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment.
  • Skill in maintaining and managing records.
  • Skill in handling cash and selling products.
  • Skill in the use of cleaning tools, chemicals, cleaners, and/or disinfectants.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with co-workers at all levels.
  • Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner, building respect and confidence.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal or written format.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to handle problems in a calm responsible manner.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning products and safely operate cleaning equipment, including the pool area.
  • Ability to safely mix chemicals used in cleaning, including the pool area.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent use of hands, wrists, fingers associated with computer operation.
  • Required to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Occasionally walk, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
  • Normal visual acuity, ability to talk and hear.
  • Occasionally assist with mobility of Spa clients.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Work Environment

  • Spa and Salon environment.
  • Occasional standing and walking throughout the Casino and Resort in a smoking environment and contact with the general public.
  • Frequent exposure to pool and salon chemicals and cleaning supplies.
  • Frequent walking in slippery and wet areas.


Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • One year of retail and cash handling experience.
  • Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must have basic computer skills and be able to type 25 wpm with 80% accuracy.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license to meet the employment eligibility requirements as they pertain to the position.

Desired Qualifications:

  • One year of spa or salon experience.

License, Certification, or Special Requirements:

  • Native American preference shall apply to all positions.
