Overview:
This position will be the primary resource responsible for managing relationships with top-tier strategic IT vendors including contract negotiations, performance, risk and $260MM spend. The resource will own and understand contractual, commercial, and operational working relationships with vendors to ensure effective delivery of committed products, services and solutions. This role is a senior position, interacting directly with executive senior leadership. The role will define and oversee the management of policy and process associated with IT vendor management functions, including collaboration with business units and stakeholders who may be responsible for adherence to or execution for policy and process.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with IT executive senior leadership to build and maintain an IT Vendor Management program including development of a program governance model.
2. Lead segmentation and rationalization of MPC’s IT vendor portfolio so appropriate focus can be applied to top-tier strategic vendor relationships/engagements.
3. Coordinate with Supply Chain Commercial Advisors and Contract Leads to conduct RFPs for strategic IT vendors and ensure negotiated agreements capture desired deliverables and SLAs.
4. Serve as the leadership-level point of contact between top-tier strategic IT vendors and internal customers of IT vendor services and solutions.
5. Oversee the development of performance evaluation tools based on stakeholder needs, and the creation of scorecards and dashboards that will accurately present this data.
6. Communicate status of top-tier strategic IT vendor contracts, performance, spend, risk and relationships to key stakeholders.
7. Partner with IT to maintain a profile of IT vendor’s marketspace products, services, and roadmap.
8. Serve as internal consultant of IT vendor marketspace, understand IT goals and strategies related to top-tier vendors, and ensure sourcing strategies align with IT vendor/product lifecycle.
9. Deliver performance feedback to top-tier IT vendor organizations, serve as point of contact for escalation, and oversee action plans and corrective measures arising from the performance management process and drive issues to resolution.
10. Partner with cross-functional business partners to track and report on top-tier IT vendor financial viability, business continuity, and corporate and regulatory compliance.
11. Provide oversight on IT vendor audits and guidance for true-up/reconciliation activities for strategic vendors as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, IT, Business, or related field.
  • Master’s degree, C.P.M. or C.P.S.M. beneficial.
  • There is a strong preference for 10+ years related experience in Supply Chain, IT, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years direct experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, vendor risk and spend.
Approximately 25% travel. Travel time could fluctuate depending on internal customer requirements and projects.
