Senior Tax Analyst

Position Summary

Reporting to the US Manger, Taxation, the Senior Tax Analyst will play an integral part in Enerflex’s US provision, compliance and assist in executing tax strategies. This requires working closely with the Enerflex US operating regions, to streamline provision and compliance process and gain broad understanding of the business units. The successful candidate will be excited to take on a wide range of U.S. tax and financial reporting responsibilities.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

Tax Reporting & Compliance

• Preparation of U.S, Federal and state tax returns.
• Preparation of U, S, tax provisions to ensure reasonableness of tax positions.
• Preparation of tax Federal and state tax projections and estimated tax payments.
• Provide support on indirect taxation matters.

Transfer Pricing

• Preparing U.S. transfer pricing documentation. This includes preparing financial data and benchmarking studies through collaboration with external advisor and regional business teams.
• Stay current on important tax developments to assess impact to the organization.

Other tax and reporting functions

• Compliance and financial Reporting of the U.S. 401K Plan.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years related tax experience.
• Professional designation required (CPA or equivalent).
• Broad U.S, income tax knowledge with an appreciation of cross border and global tax issues.
• Self-motivated and willing to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex concepts to management and non-tax practitioners.
