The Senior Systems Engineer will lead new technology efforts as a part of the infrastructure implementation and support team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience supporting enterprise networks, servers, and geographically dispersed client environments. This role will act as a senior infrastructure architect, help to build an effective support structure through tools, and serve as an escalation point for junior technicians. The candidate must have expert-level troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities simultaneously.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Duties

• Experience building secure network infrastructure including LAN/WAN.
• Deep understanding of IT security.
• Experience managing Office 365 environments including domain and integrations (experience converting domains a plus).
• Experience managing projects at a senior level - has served as lead for vended pilot projects.
• Leads in planning and implementing changes to infrastructure with the goal of enhancing performance.
• Performs complex storage and server data backup, data migration and disaster recovery operations.
• Experience with server and client OS patching and maintenance.
• Performs complex software and operating system upgrades and track system licensing.
• Tools and processes for monitoring computer systems and networks for viruses, malfunctions, and errors.
• Provides technical expertise and assistance on escalated tickets.
• Experience securing vended cloud storage solutions.
• Microsoft Active Directory environment including Group Policy.
• Miscellaneous appliances including Backup, Email Security, and Web Application Firewalls.
• Experience with cloud server environments (ex. AWS, Azure…etc.).
• Experience with Disaster Recovery and backup data center environments.
• Exemplifies expert-level IT support.
• Assumes and executes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education/ Experience

• Must have expert-level experience with the above technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other technology degree highly desirable.
• Experience in the Dental industry is highly desirable.
• Applicable vendor certifications are highly desirable.

Physical/ Environmental Requirements

• Hybrid work environment; but must be geographically located within 60 minutes of Richmond Hill, GA.
• Must be able to carry and lift items weighing up to 35 pounds.
• This position will require sitting for long periods of time, walking, standing, bending, and walking, as well as using fine motor skills, such as finger dexterity for typing and using small hand tools.
• This position requires average to above-average visual acuity and hearing.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to read memos, computer screens, personnel forms, and clinical and administrative documents.
