Job description
Cimarron is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to develop, integrate, test, and deliver complex software solutions for the Harpoon Launch System of the Cruis Missle Launch Systems Software team for a large aerospace and defense customer in St. Charles, MO.
This opportunity offers a competitive salary and the opportunity for additional cash-in-lieu of benefits. This position is expected to last for 6 months to 1 year.
This opportunity is a hybrid role and will allow for some remote work (i.e. work from home a few days a week).
Key Duties:
- Lead activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements.
- Lead the development, maintenance, or modification of system components' designs/proposals to provide installation and detailed documentation.
- Perform and document analysis.
- Manage supplier development, test. and production activities and direct the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals.
- Prioritize, delegate, and track performance and documentation of analyses of mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design.
- Support proposal preparation and new business development efforts.
- Train and coach others.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Cimarron employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- 5 or more years of experience writing proposals, Request for Information (RFIs), and/or Request for Proposal (RFPs).
- 5 or more years of experience providing technical oversight/managing external suppliers.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Active or Interim Secret clearance.
- 10 or more years of related work experience.
