JOB SUMMARY

The Financial Systems Admin is a key position that will assist with managing the Conifer’s financial systems to drive reporting, metrics and insights into the company’s financials and associated processes working in tight collaboration with corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A) teams. The successful candidate will also work closely will work closely with team to strategize system enhancements and support the month-end system close process and reporting, along with annual budget and quarterly forecast system planning processes and data integrity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing Conifer’s financial reporting and analysis systems with focus on maximum utility and underlying data accuracy.
  • Administrator and be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for financial system reporting tool
  • Participating in broader financial system related projects to proactively identifying technologies that can expand functionality used within the platform
  • Managing day-to-day systems support for global FP&A teams and providing the necessary Web App & Excel Add-In training content for the cloud based EPM financial reporting tool.
  • Assisting with driving finance teams to complete business deliverables for forecasting, reporting, budgeting and other corporate requirements.
  • Prepare financial planning system for forecast and budget cycles by entering global assumptions and drivers

  • Maintaining system metadata while following master data governance policies and procedures.
  • Designing, building and testing automated financial reports and models using various reporting tools.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Relevant experience administering financial consolidation, reporting and financial forecasting systems, as well as working in and with FP&A teams preferably for a publicly held company with annual revenue greater than $500MM using best in class software.
  • Highly motivated, highly organized, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-starter to collaborate with FP&A leaders and drive process improvement with minimal supervision
  • Knowledgeable of finance, accounting, internal control principals including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • SQL knowledge to develop and maintain queries is preferred but not required
  • Strong financial systems background with integration experience preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with cloud based EPM systems including data transformation and mapping is preferred
  • Previous planning and consolidation system administration experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to clearly communicate and understand a technical idea/concept for implementing change, completing projects and transforming related programs across multiple organizations / functions.
  • Team player with experience working in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision under tight deadlines
  • Other projects and reports, as necessary

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Include minimum education, technical training, and/or experience preferred to perform the job.

  • BS in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, MSIS, MIS, or equivalent training
  • Minimal 5 years of experience as a Financial Systems Administrator and/or FP&A professional in a public company preferably in the Healthcare or Professional service industry
