Position: Senior Software Quality Assurance
Department: IT
Reports To: Manager Software Quality Assurance
Primary Function:
The employee is responsible for collaborating with other members of software development team and operational stakeholders to conduct end to end functional, regression, performance, and security tests. The candidate will also play a key role reviewing and refining business and product requirements and delivering high quality software on time within a fast paced and high growth environment.
Job Scope and Major Responsibilities:
Collaborates effectively with software engineers, quality assurance, project management, operational stakeholders to delivery high quality software.- Reviews business and product requirements and provides feedback to the Business Analysts and developers.
- Reviews requirements and evaluates the development of bug fixes and new features to make sure the functionality is working as expected.
- Designs and documents test cases and conducts end to end functional, regression, performance, and security tests.
- Designs and implements QA automation.
- Confers with other team members and possibly users; studies systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigates problem areas.
- Updates job knowledge by studying newer testing tools and techniques for more efficient testing.
- Adheres at all times to physical, administrative and technical safeguards related to core business when executing job functions.
- Complies with the provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and its implementing regulations, as amended (“HIPAA”)
Performance Criteria:
This role is evaluated by the accuracy and effectiveness of the relevant test cases and implemented solutions, as well as timely communication with other business users and IT teams. Achieving performance targets for defect rate for the QA and their team is critical for assessing this role’s performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in software quality assurance- Can delegate tasks to other team members as and when necessary and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
- Raise any concerns related to the project in a timely fashion
- Mentoring skills to assist other team members
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information system or a related field
- Skilled at communicating and collaborating cross-functionally
- Independent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with end to end functional and regression testing of web-based applications
- Experience in SQL, C# or Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience in QA automation tools such as selenium
- Experience with Azure or other cloud computing solutions is a plus.
- Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, HIPPA/HITRUST and security is a plus.
