Summary / Primary Role:
In this position as the Senior Software Engineer, we are looking for a technology lead that would be performing both hands on design and development as well as mentoring software engineers with less experience. Success in this role all comes down to this individual’s ability to be able to distill complex business problems into simple technology solutions by applying their experience with both on-premise, SaaS and cloud technology platforms. Much of the new development that will be attributed to this role will involve the creation of n-tier, web-based platforms with proper solutions for data persistence and next-generation integration patterns.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
(Management may amend or assign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time)
· Responsibility for the practice of software engineering discipline including but not limited to, technology decisions, standards definition, and software quality.
· Responsible for detailed system design using industry design patterns and platforms
· Responsibility for the software engineering productivity and throughput all the while ensuring good software engineering practices are followed (code complexity, unit testing, etc…)
· Responsible for technical non-functional requirements that lean into application security, observability, performance, stability, and resiliency.
· Develop and ensure all organizational software standards applied consistently across all deliverables.
· Work across departments and teams to ensure and communicate alignment

Qualifications and Key Skills:**
(The following are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills or ability required for this position)
· M.S. or B.S. in Computer Science or related field
· 7+ years of relevant hands-on experience building software systems
· 3+ years as a technical lead in an Agile development working environment
· 3+ years of experience software solutions in the cloud (AWS, Azure of GCP)
· 5+ years of experience working with JavaScript front-end development technologies (i.e Angular, React, NodeJS)
· 5+ years of experience working with REST API development using Java or JavaScript languages and frameworks.
· 5+ years of experience working with database technologies (i.e. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
· 3+ years of experience with other integration patterns like Pub/Sub and Event Streaming
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written, in English.
· Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work harmoniously with a diverse team of software developers.

Work Environment:**
Normal office environment with some remote work.

Physical Demands:**
Must operate normal office equipment such as a phone, computer, and copy machine. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
