MRI Software, LLC. seeks Senior Software Engineers in Solon, OH.
Duties:
- Applies defined Software Development Life Cycle to deliver production ready code of high quality which satisfies all functional and non-functional requirements
- Designs, codes, tests and maintains deliverables of high complexity
- Prepares, analyzes and communicates team development metrics
- Utilizes product-relevant technical knowledge to drive application architecture
- Communicates technical issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Compares, contrasts and prioritizes among alternative approaches to meet objectives
- Uses judgment to suggest approaches that optimize among customer needs, business constraints, and technological realities
- Estimates development schedules and determine project scope
- Creates code that meets design specifications, follows standards, and is easy to maintain
- Tests and peer reviews code for technical accuracy, standards, and functional compliance to the design
- Provides technical assistance and technical training to other departments and peers as required
- Performs and designs testing protocols to ensure that the product is fully tested before entering QA
- Authors and/or contributes to technical design documentation, release notes, bug fix documentation
- Works with Product Management team to ensure appropriate project requirements are met
- Participates in and often leads a Development team that is responsible for developing quality software
- Initiates and implement complex technical designs spanning multiple application tiers
- Mentors/coaches other engineers on methods and techniques, as well as identifying skill set gaps within the team
Requires a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, plus 5 years experience. Requires 5 years experience in the following: SQL Query Building and SQL; Programming with Java; Broad-based technical expertise including an understanding of programming and architecture concepts; Direct project involvement and leadership of projects delivering software solutions; Software development best practices, including multiple development methodologies; and Delivering products on-time that meet client expectations.
