Responsibilities

  • Ensure that appropriate resources (people and tools) and processes are in place to gather and analyze data relating to digital technology asset life cycles and related processes

  • Assist IT leaders in developing effective ITAM strategies, policy, approaches and practices across the full range of digital technology assets used within the organization

  • Ensure that ITAM-related tools and services are properly implemented, configured, and maintained, with appropriate integration with other sources of organizational data

  • Ensuring integration and automation have been set up and are working well in populating the CMDB with the required metadata

  • Align with Infrastructure, Enterprise Application & Product teams in the design and enhancement of automated discovery/import of configurations into the CMDB

  • Ability to effectively manage all types of assets including but not limited to Computers, Tablets, Servers (Physical, Virtual and Cloud) and wide range of IOT devices such as video cameras, printers etc

  • Identify and report on breaches of ITAM policy, and track their remediation

  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting, and that data completeness and quality issues are quickly identified and escalated to the responsible data or process owners

  • Assist in establishing a formal CMDB governance model and the creation of key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Optimize the global disposal process to reduce risk (audit, compliance issues, and data mishandling), and recoup value from EOL assets

  • Establish standards that detail policy and procedures associated with Configuration Management and CMDB planning, reporting, auditing, and maintenance of EUT, server, network, and business application configuration items

  • Monitor CMDB health and resolve conflicts between authoritative production data sources

  • Assist with the organization's response to software vendor license compliance audits or license validation requests, in consultation with the relevant vendor and procurement

Qualifications

  • The essential experience required for this role is a minimum of 2-4 years working with CMDBs and an understanding of the ITIL framework

  • 2-3 experience of working with ServiceNow CMDB

  • Knowledge and experience in IT Asset and Inventory Management

  • Familiar with digital assets including but not limited to Computers, tablets, servers, Switches, Routers, firewalls and other IOT devices

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate exceptional organizational. accuracy, and time-management skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong initiative, problem solving, priority setting, and collaboration skills. Good organizational and analytical skills

  • Exhibits a high level of initiative and integrity

  • 5+ years’ experience

  • Associate degree preferred

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

  • San Francisco, CA / Bay Area: $128,000 to $211,000

  • California (Non-SF/Bay Area), Connecticut, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington state: $119,000 to $196,000

  • Colorado, Nevada, Rhode Island: $108,000 to $178,000

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

This position may be offered in other locations. Your recruiter can share more about the specific pay range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
